Stroke Quality Scores

Stroke Core Measures

Stroke ‘core measures’ are critical steps in a patient’s hospital stay that have been established based on outcomes. The Duke Health system tracks and measures the care we provide to our patients based on these quality measures.

The quality scores below communicate how well hospitals in the Duke Health system follow the guidelines set by the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA) for treating strokes. We also compare ourselves to North Carolina hospitals and stroke hospitals nationwide that participate in Get With the Guidelines - Stroke (GWTG – STK a data registry from the AHA).

The following information is from fiscal year (FY) 2023 (July 2022 through June 2023)
