Junior Volunteers

Would you like a rewarding summer experience as a volunteer in a busy medical center? If you are 15 to 18 years of age and are interested in serving and helping others within a hospital, the Junior Volunteer Program is a wonderful program to consider. Compassion for others, kindness, and willingness to serve others are three important cornerstones of this program.

Junior Volunteers provide service to patients and families at Duke University Hospital. Roles for Junior Volunteers range from providing directions to patients and families, serving in the gift shops, and helping ease wait times for families in waiting areas by providing a friendly, warm, and welcoming presence.

The 2014 Summer Junior Volunteer Program is full at this time, and no additional interviews are being offered.
Please check back with us on January 31, 2015 to inquire about the Summer 2015 Junior Volunteer Program.
