Junior Volunteers

Would you like a rewarding summer experience as a volunteer in a busy medical center? If you are 15 to 18 years of age and are interested in serving and helping others within a hospital, the Junior Volunteer Program is a wonderful program to consider. Compassion for others, kindness, and willingness to serve others are three important cornerstones of this program.

Junior Volunteers provide service to patients and families at Duke University Hospital. Roles for Junior Volunteers range from providing directions to patients and families, serving in the gift shops, and helping ease wait times for families in waiting areas by providing a friendly, warm, and welcoming presence.

Please note -Interview slots are now completely FULL for the Summer 2015 Junior Volunteer Program.

No additional interviews will be offered as the interview schedule is full. Please check back with us on January 29, 2016 for the Summer 2016 Junior Volunteer Program. Thank you for your interest in our programs.
