Would you like a rewarding summer experience as a volunteer in a busy medical center? If you are 15 to 18 years of age and are interested in serving and helping others within a hospital, the Junior Volunteer Program is a wonderful program to consider. Compassion for others, kindness, and willingness to serve others are three important cornerstones of this program.
Junior Volunteers provide service to patients and families at Duke University Hospital. Roles for Junior Volunteers range from providing directions to patients and families, serving in the gift shops, and helping ease wait times for families in waiting areas by providing a friendly, warm, and welcoming presence.
On January 30, 2015, you may sign up online for an interview slot for the Summer 2015 Junior Volunteer Program. A link will be listed for you to sign up on that date, so please check back on January 30, 2015. Interview slots often fill within 24 hours, and no additional interviews will be offered once available interviews are full.
