I am the director of Duke Pediatric Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging and I am an attending physician in the Duke Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Center. I am an American citizen who was born in England and raised in Canada. I have lived in the United States since I received my undergraduate education at Cornell University. Clinical Focus and Research

My Research Interests

My research investigates novel technologies in imaging the heart for structure and physiology in conjunction with the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, changes in cardiac function with exercise, assessment of myocardial mechanics, and how to provide the best care to newborn infants with prenatally diagnosed heart disease that balances infant stability with family bonding. I am equally committed to cardiovascular education and investigating methods to best deliver pediatric cardiology training to the global health community.
