Becky Chose Duke for Convenience, but Got Much More

October 03, 2013

Becky Lytle chose Duke Primary Care because it was close to home. "The care I received was amazing," she said.

Becky Lytle chose Duke Primary Care years ago because it was close to where she works near Brier Creek. “I had another primary care provider in Raleigh, but they changed the focus of their practice,” she explains. “I found Duke Primary Care Brier Creek online. It was convenient, so I gave it a try.” Lytle says she prefers a female provider, so she made an appointment with Anne Glover, MD.

“I’ve been seeing Dr. Glover for six years now,” says Lytle. “I love her. Absolutely adore her. She is without a doubt the best primary care physician I have ever had.”

The best care means a lot to someone like Lytle, as she has had her share of health issues. She suffered from obesity and its related conditions, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes. More recently, Lytle had sudden cardiac arrest while at work and was subsequently cared for at Duke. “Duke has meant so much to me with the gastric bypass and my health issues,” she says. “I'm in perfect health now. The care I received was amazing. It means the world to me that we have that kind of health care.”

Lytle’s husband Sam is also a Duke Primary Care patient. Together, they live an active life, dining out, staying involved in their church, traveling, and following the Durham Bulls and Carolina Mudcats.
