Renowned Alumnus Creates Urology Lectureship

Victor A. Politano, MD, and his wife Aida, of North Miami, Fla., have given $100,000 to establish the Politano Lecture in the Division of Urologic Surgery.

A graduate of the School of Medicine and a former resident in urology at Duke, Politano served on Duke's urology faculty before moving to the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1962, where he was chairman of the Department of Urology from 1971-1991.

An internationally renowned urologist, Politano is known for his many contributions to pediatric and adult urology.
