Grant Services

The Office of Foundation Relations supports Duke University Medical Center (DUMC) initiatives by serving as the interface between DUMC programs, projects, and faculty and the research organizations and foundations that support medicine.

We work with the full spectrum of foundations, from small family-based entities to the nation's largest philanthropic organizations. Our activities include:

Services for Grant-Seekers:

• Informing faculty of competitive RFPs (requests for proposals), open-ended calls for proposals, award opportunities, and other foundation-based funding opportunities
• Assisting with and/or coordinating development, submission, and support of proposals presented to foundations

Services for Grant-Makers:

• Maintaining DUMC's rapport with its foundation partners
• Working with investigators to ensure that foundations support the highest priorities of DUMC and its greatest opportunities for advancing the field of medicine
• Coordinating foundation-related activity across the multiple departments, centers, and clinical units which comprise DUMC.
