Joseph W. Tynan, JD, director of the Office of Gift Planning at DUMC Development and Alumni Affairs, has been with the Medical Center since 1995. Prior to that, he was director of planned giving at Rockefeller University, a biomedical research institute and graduate university in New York City. Joe has 21 years of experience in the trust and estate and planned giving fields. He received a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y., and a juris doctor degree from St. John's University School of Law in Jamaica, N.Y.
